One machine, one pass, and a price that does not move. Explained and done simply.

BEFOREAFTER ONE PASS You cannot walk through it. Open ground, mulch left as cover.
Fig. 1 The same ground, before and after. Mature trees you want are left standing.

What it costs, before you call.

Nobody in this trade prints a number. Here is yours, by the acre, and it does not move.

No email required to see the number.

This is what one pass looks like.

Mulched ground in front of the machine. Untouched brush behind it. Same afternoon, same acre.

One machine. One pass. Nothing leaves the property.

A tracked mulcher carries a rotating drum head. Brush, saplings and small trees go down and come apart into chip on the spot. What stood in your way ends up as a layer of mulch on the ground.

  1. We walk it with you first

Acreage, how thick it is, what you want left standing, and what you plan to do with the ground after. That last answer changes how fine we grind it.

  2. You get a number before anything starts

In writing, tied to the area we agreed on. If we find something that changes the job, work stops and you decide. Nothing gets added to an invoice you have not seen.

  3. The machine does the whole job

No crew tramping your yard, no dump trucks in and out, no burn pile smoking for a week. Tracks spread the weight, so you are not left with ruts.

  4. You can use it the next day

The mulch layer holds soil in place and knocks back regrowth while it breaks down. Drive on it, fence it, run cattle on it, or let it green up.

Straight answers, before you call.

The questions people actually ask, answered the way we would answer them on the phone.

What does an acre actually cost?

It depends on how thick it is, and the estimator above gives you a real range in about a minute without asking for your email. Light brush and briars sit at the bottom of the band, heavy timber and decades of growth at the top. Minimum job is one acre.

Will the price change once you start?

No. You get the number in writing before the machine comes off the trailer, tied to the ground we both walked. If something underneath genuinely changes the work, a well head, a buried fence, junk under the brush, we stop and show you and you decide. Nothing appears on an invoice you did not agree to first.

What is left on the ground when you are done?

A layer of wood chip where the brush was. Nothing gets hauled off and nothing gets burned, so there are no piles waiting on a permit and no ruts across the good part of your property from trucking it out. The mulch holds the soil down and breaks down over the next couple of seasons.

Do the trees I want to keep survive?

Yes. The head takes what is in front of it, so we work around what you want standing. Walk it with us first and mark anything that matters. That conversation costs nothing.

Will the honeysuckle just grow back?

Some of it will, and anyone who tells you otherwise is selling. Mulching is the first pass and it is the one that gets your ground back in two days instead of five more years. Research on mulching bush honeysuckle specifically found deeper mulching knocks resprouting down hard and lets you use considerably less chemical afterwards. Plan on spot treatment the following season and you are ahead for good.

Can I just rent a machine and do it myself?

Plenty of people price a weekend rental and decide to knock it out, and it is a fair comparison, so here it is honestly.

If you enjoy running equipment and you have the time, genuinely, rent it. Call us when it is more acreage than a weekend, or when the ground is steeper, wetter or thicker than it looks from the house.

When is the best time of year?

Late fall through early spring. The ground is firmer so there is less rutting, the leaves are off so the operator can see what he is cutting, and dormant stems break down faster. It is also the only time you can see the problem clearly: honeysuckle is the last thing green in November and the first thing green in March.

How far do you travel?

North Vernon and the surrounding counties. If you are further out, call anyway and we will tell you straight whether it makes sense rather than pricing in a long haul and hoping you do not notice.

What satisfied customers say.

Almost nobody praises the clearing itself. They praise the two things this trade keeps getting wrong.

"Had about four acres of scrub I'd let go for years. Quoted a number, hit the number, done in two days. No surprise invoice."
Jared M. · 2 weeks ago
"Wanted the fence line back without hauling brush piles for a month. He mulched it right into the ground and I drove the tractor through the next morning."
Cody W. · 3 weeks ago
"Showed up when he said he would, which is more than I can say for the last two guys I called. Took back the whole back pasture."

Rough acreage is fine. A photo from your phone tells us more than a paragraph, so send one if you have it. Anthony calls back the same day, and afternoons are usually easiest to reach him.
